Can be used with any valve that has a 1/4″ stem regardless of manufacturer. Key has both a 1/4″ and a 5/16″ socket eliminating the need to know socket size when purchasing replacement key.

Installation:

Make sure the chimney flu is open before using the key.
Place a small amount of paper under the flame holes of the log lighter and ignite the paper.
Open the gas valve using the removable key.
When the logs are ignited, close the gas valve and REMOVE THE KEY.
Keep ashes and hot coals from completely covering the log lighter. The steel pipe needs oxygen to keep from warping.
